Just yesterday we were saying we’d got our best look yet at the Samsung Galaxy Note 7, but it’s already been topped by a fresh batch of leaked images.
Rather than photos, these are very official looking renders that show the Note 7 from a variety of angles in blue, silver and gold. We’ve seen it in blue and silver before, as well as black, but the gold shade is new.
There’s nothing else that’s hugely new here, with a design that looks very similar to the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, with a curved screen, a metal frame, a glass back, an oblong home button and a similar camera setup.
Though looking at the side-on shots it appears that the glass on the back might be as curved as the screen, where on the S7 Edge the back curve is less pronounced, and there are signs of an iris scanner above the display.
The renders, which were posted by South Korean site Seeko and spotted by SamMobile, also give us another look at the S Pen, which has a similar design to the Galaxy Note 5’s, but likely boasts some extra features. For example, we heard recently that it might be able to write underwater.
There’s little else to say about the renders, other than just that they echo almost every leak we’ve seen so far, so there’s a good chance they’re accurate.
Not enough juice
In less promising news a post on Weibo shows a listing for the phone with a 3,500mAh battery. Given that even the S7 Edge has a 3,600mAh one that would be worryingly small, but don’t panic yet, the battery is one of the few things there doesn’t seem to be a consensus on and all previous leaks have pointed to a larger juice pack.
Battery aside the Note 7 is looking serious impressive, hopefully it lives up to the hype, but we’ll know soon, as the phone is set to launch on August 2.
