LG’s next flagship smartphone may not ship with some key features the company hoped to include.

The latest rumors come from ChosunBiz, a Korean news site. Anonymous sources within the mobile phone industry revealed to ChosunBiz that the LG G6 will stick with non-curved LCD display and will not have wireless charging.

LG’s biggest competitor, Samsung, has pioneered the use of curved OLED displays on its flagship phones like the Galaxy S7 Edge and Galaxy Note 7. OLED displays are regarded as being better than LCD panels because of superior color reproduction, contrast, brightness and for its flexibility. Even Apple is rumored to be bringing an OLED display to its iPhone 8.

Samsung already has several generations of phones with curved OLED displays

LG has plans to eventually bring OLED screens to its phone, but its smartphone production isn’t ready yet. The company currently makes excellent OLED TVs as well as OLED displays for wearables like the Apple Watch 2 and LG Watch Urbane.

The anonymous industry sources also revealed that LG won’t be packing wireless charging in the upcoming LG G6 because its fast wireless charging technology isn’t ready yet. The new technology is rumored to offer faster wireless charging than what’s currently available and can be charged from up to 7 centimeters (3 inches) away. ChosunBiz speculates the wireless charging tech could make it to the LG G7 in 2018 instead.

Rounding out today’s rumors are LG’s alleged plans to make the LG G6 out of metal and tempered glass. LG received criticism for the lackluster build quality of the LG G5, which featured a painted aluminum body and felt like plastic to some.

The weak sales of the LG G5 resulted in some senior LG executives being fired. While the lack of wireless charging and OLED display are a huge bummer, LG could still wow us with other features that other flagships don’t have. LG says it’s committed to the G5’s modular design and could even pack the phone with the excellent audio features found in the LG V20.
